Dr. Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation, welcomed the participants of the project “Healthcare and Consular Workshop for Thais in Sverdlovsk Region and Moscow” (24-29 September 2016), which was part of the promotion and protection of the interests of Thai nationals living in the Russian Federation. The Project was under the cooperation between the Embassy and the Thai authorities in charge of public health, public legal service, and labour i.e. the Medical Council of Thailand, the Office of the Attorney-General and the Ministry of Labour.

More than 200 Thais in Sverdlovsk Region and Moscow received attentive consultation on basic healthcare by the expert team of the volunteer medical doctors led by Dr. Samphand Komrit, M.D., Secretary-General of the Thai Medical Council. Necessary advice and legal guidance on labour affairs were also given to the participants by Ms. Raweevan Asawakul of the Office of the Attorney-General and Mr. Somchai Arkkaratumkoon of the Ministry of Labour. “A list of basic medications in English and Russian” had been released to Thai public in Russia with the view to reducing the Russian language barrier to the purchase of basic medicines in Russia.
