H.M. Queen Sirikit's 78th Birthday Anniversary Celebration in Moscow

The Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow, organized activities to celebrate
the 78th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen of Thailand

On the auspicious occasion of the 78th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen of Thailand on 12 August 2010, Ambassador Chalermpol and Mrs. Sutida Thanchitt, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow, Team Thailand and their families, organized the ceremony and various activities on 8 August 2010 at the Ambassador’s Residence. About 200 Thais and “Friends of Thailand” in Russia took part in the event, during which the following activities took place:

1. Humble extension of best wishes by Thai nationals and “Friends of Thailand” to Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of Her Majesty ’s Birthday in writing;
   
   
2. Humble extension of best wishes by Thai nationals to Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of Her Majesty ’s Birthday verbally, together with the singing of the Royal Anthem and “Sadudee Maharaja”;
   
   
3. Presentation of DVDs about the Royal Activities and Projects of Her Majesty The Queen;
   
   
4. Exhibition of the Royal Activities and Projects of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as books on and related to Her Majesty;
   
   
5. Display of photos taken during Her Majesty’s Royal Visit to Russia in 2007;
   
   
6. Distribution of the book “From a Friend” in the Russian Language, which tells stories of Thailand-Russia relations, together with various photos taken during Her Majesty’s Royal Visit to Russia in 2007

Even though the temperature in Moscow on 8 August 2010 was as high as +37 Celsius with the heavy smog from forest fires covering most parts of Moscow, the Thai nationals and “Friends of Thailand” showed their loyalty for Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand by braving these terrible circumstances, and came to enthusiastically participate in the event.
